What age group is Recess Play suitable for?+
Our facility is designed for children aged 2 to 12 years old, with designated play areas tailored to different age groups.
Do I need to book in advance?+
While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend booking online to guarantee your preferred time slot, especially on weekends and holidays. As we operate in timeslots, staff may leave if no one arrives within the last hour of closing time.
Are there birthday party packages available?+
Yes, we offer a variety of birthday party packages that include playtime, food options, and party room access. Please contact us for details and availability.
If I do not book a party room, can I bring my child and their friends to open play to celebrate their birthday?+
Yes, however no birthday party celebrations are permitted in the open play area. You are welcome to host a group play date, but you can not bring in any party decor, cupcakes/cake or food unless you book a party room.
Is food allowed inside the play areas?+
Outside food is not permitted in the play zones, but we have a café area where you can purchase snacks and refreshments.
Do I need special socks?+
We recommend grippy socks and sell a small selection of them in case you forgot.
Is parking available on-site?+
Yes, free parking is available for all our visitors in the lot adjacent to the facility.
Can adults accompany children without playing?+
Yes, adults can supervise children without participating in the play areas. Comfortable seating is provided throughout the facility.
Do you charge parties for adults?+
No, but a maximum of 2 adults per child is permitted.
Do I need to sign a waiver?+
Yes, its so everyone can keep having a good time. You only have to sign it once and you can keep having fun day after day.
What’s your policy on socks?+
Socks at all times, shoes get stashed when you walk in the door. This goes for parents too and we have some behind the counter if you forget
Can I bring outside food?+
We’re a nut free facility and we’re very proud of it. Only baby formula is permitted. Birthday cakes and treats are also sourced from our local nut-free partner.
How do you keep the place clean?+
We clean with a next level hospital grade sanitizer called Vital Oxide. We sanitize the entire structure and all surfaces very often, and hire a third party crew for the cherry on top. We also limit our capacity to encourage greater social distancing. Yay for cleaning!
How many people are allowed in each time slot?+
We follow all guidelines to ensure a safe, fun, and exciting visit each time. We want our guests to be comfortable, and feel at home. Mi casa, Su casa! If you’ve ever concern, give us a ring and we’ll fill you in on how busy it is.
What happens if I can’t make my booking?+
Dang, we would’ve loved to see you! We do not offer refunds, but we can work with you to reschedule your spot. Party booking deposits are non-refundable, but we can work with you on a near-term date change. Camp tuition is secured upon booking, as spots go fast. You’ll alway get credit though
Is my kid too old or too young?+
Play has no age. The space is designed for the entire family. It’s exploratory features will impress even the grumpiest of 12 year olds and our super-little-ones area provides a safe, engaging place for the tiniest members of your family.
